DENT Neurological Institute gets the most out of rep visits by ensuring clear communication and strong rep relationships
DENT Neurologic Institute is one of the most comprehensive neurology practices in the United States, and for the past year, clinicians and staff there have been relying on RxVantage to streamline their interactions with industry partners. Katie Passanisi’s department was one of the first to adopt RxVantage at DENT and has been happy with the success of the integration.
“With RxVantage, the task of scheduling reps came off of the front desk staff and cleared up their time,” says Passanisi. “Maintaining the rep calendar became something supervisors and team leads on the floor could manage efficiently.”
Switching from a traditional paper calendar to RxVantage continues to have positive impacts on DENT clinics.
“Sometimes there were jams at the front desk while attempting to accommodate patient registration and industry partners scheduling simultaneously,” says Passanisi. “The waiting rooms are tight, so we were glad to move the rep scheduling business away from the patient area.”
Besides making space in patient waiting rooms, RxVantage helped eliminate the human error that was all too common with the traditional paper calendars.
“Sometimes an appointment change would be missed by an industry partner or employee,” Passanisi explained. “Or the handwriting was just illegible. Whatever the issue, these mistakes led to missed or overlapping appointments that were not in either party’s best interest.”
In addition, Passanisi has noticed an improvement in leadership and supervisor relationships with reps. RxVantage has given DENT providers valuable insight into which reps will be in the building at which times, therefore allowing providers to plan their schedules and questions to align with reps’ appointments.
Christine Mann, COO of DENT, recalled a positive interaction she had with reps at DENT.
“One of my earliest encounters with RxVantage came from two reps who found us through RxVantage,” Mann said. “Though they were scheduled in the behavioral health clinic instead of the neuromuscular clinic, we were able to give them an introduction to our organization and get them linked with the intended specialty quickly and efficiently. Through this chance encounter, we now have a positive working relationship with those industry partners and they will even be joining us at our NeuroNet meeting in Orlando. This encounter is a really great testimony of the networking capabilities of RxVantage.”
